1. 33/28/0 – Pew Pew Build! 

Well as most people say this is the pew pew fire build for pvp but it is also use able in pve, this build has amazing burst damage for pvp you can take down a target in a second if not one shot.

The power of arcane power + trinket + presence of mind + pyroblast is something you cant pass up if you’re an aggressive player like myself, I hate to hold back and let teams in the arena come to me or defend in AV its just not me.

As you can see in this build it isn’t the normal 33/28 build I have changed quite a few points around so that’s it is both viable in pvp and pve.

2. 10/48/3 – another fire build, more PvE orientated

This build is also good for both PvE and PvP but going deep into the fire tree means you loose the devastating burst damage of PoM and Arcane Power, but gain Combustion and Dragons breath which are also very good for PvP.

This build is for people who have a more laidback play style but still want the massive fire crits and ignite tick overs and you can’t forget the devastating aoe’s (blastwave and dragons breath). There is also one free point in this build to play were ever you want.

3. 17/0/44 – Deep Frost, Water Elemental + Ice block

This build is the ultimate survivability build, you gain Ice block + Cold Snap + Ice barrier you can take a lot of damage with this build compared to any other, you also gain a water elemental with this build which is a very good DPS boost.

The only problem with this build for me is the lack of burst damage, this build has incredible sustained DPS and is very mana conservative, but I don’t want to sit back and fire frostbolts at people with my little water buddy, I would rather pew pew some one from the start and get it over and done with

Conclusion 

For the time being I am going with the 33/28 build as linked above purely for the base damage and the way it suits my play style, I will level up as frost and farm my primal fires for the spellfire set as frost and then respec once I have enough.

About me, my name is tom carroll i live in the north east of england near newcastle. I have been playing WoW since it was released into the shops up to now i have had five level 60 characters and three lvl 70 chars with my fourth on the way (Tinkster).

I have played alot of characters to 60 and 70 mainly rogue, warrior, shaman, mage and druid but i have always found mages to be the most fun to play in both PvE and PvP, i’m not sure why it may just be my play style i like to play fast and aggressive which is why a fire mage is perfect for me
